Fine Arts Scholarship Program 2020

Congratulations on your selection as a Fine Arts Scholarship Finalist!

Each invited student will receive a personalized schedule for the day. Families and guests are welcome to attend many of the events as well, including the luncheon, campus tours, and student panel. We look forward to welcoming you to campus and showing you the many opportunities available on the Hill!

Please consult the correct department below to review the schedule and complete your registration no later than February 10.

Our address is 1520 St. Olaf Avenue, Northfield, MN 55057 (find directions and maps here). All parking lots are open and free to the public. We recommend that upon arrival you park at the Buntrock Commons parking lot or any of the parking lots on the north side of campus, which are all close to the various fine arts buildings.

Check-in for Art and Dance is in the Center for Art and Dance.

Check-in for Theater is in Kelsey Theater Building.

Check-in for Music is at Christiansen Hall of Music.

All invited fine arts scholarship finalists are welcome to spend the night in a residence hall, hosted by a current fine arts scholar. Please submit your request on the registration form. We will confirm your overnight stay separately. When staying overnight, bring a sleeping bag and personal items you will need for the night. You will most likely sleep on the floor.

You and your guests will also be able to find accommodations in and near Northfield.

The various events have been created to provide you with a thorough introduction to the St. Olaf College experience, both to the individual departments in the fine arts, and the academic program and community. We would love for you stay as long as you can to make the most of your visit. However, if you can only stay for the audition or interview itself, or a small part of the day, we will certainly accommodate you.

It’s Minnesota, and it’s late winter, and the weather can be unpredictable. The interview and audition weekend events will proceed as scheduled, no matter what the weather does. We ask that you use your best judgment if roads are treacherous: we want you to be safe! http://www.dot.state.mn.us/ can provide helpful information about road conditions in case of snow or ice.

You will select your interview time on the registration form. All finalists will receive a confirmation of their schedule and interview time prior to arrival on campus. There will be no auditions. Students who are unable to attend the on-campus event should use the registration form to request a time for a phone interview.
